Quarter-acre clear, day one
Building something, or just taking a lot back from the brush? We clear it: trees down, understory mulched, stumps out, everything hauled, ground left ready for the next trade. Skid steer, grapple truck and chipper on site, one crew start to finish.
New construction pads and garage additions. Pool digs where three trees and their roots are in the way. Fence lines swallowed by a decade of hackberry and rampant ligustrum. Overgrown infill lots that need to be brought back to bare, mowable ground. Easements and drainage ways the county sent a letter about. And the classic: the inherited property nobody's touched since the 90s, vines to the canopy, where the first job is finding the property line.
One walkthrough, one written number. Lot clearing is the hardest tree work to quote sight-unseen, so we don't try; Beto walks the lot with you, flags what stays, and prices the whole scope: trees, brush, understory, stumps, haul-off, the lot raked or rough-graded flat. Small residential clears start around a thousand dollars; a wooded quarter-acre lot runs into the several thousands depending on tree count and access. You'll know the number before we start, and it doesn't move unless the scope does.
Clearing doesn't have to mean scorched earth. On build sites we routinely fence off and protect the keeper oaks so the builder's equipment doesn't compact the root zone, which quietly kills more construction-site trees than chainsaws do. One caution for commercial projects and new development inside Houston city limits: the city's tree and shrub ordinance can require permits, protected-tree surveys or replacement plantings, so check with your builder or the planning department before clearing. Residential homeowners clearing their own lot are generally in the clear, no pun intended.
Stumps included on request, we grind or excavate them depending on what's going on the site next. Related: stump grinding and single tree removal.
